A would be bandit got more than he bargained for when he tried to break into a sports bar in Barrackpore on Wednesday night.
Police reports indicate that 37-year-old Jia Feng was awake around midnight at the Happy Times Sports Bar, when he saw a man on his CCTV camera trying to break into the rear of his business place.
He called out to his employee 27-year-old Yanxing Feng who sleeps in the downstairs apartment.
Feng saw the intruder poking his hand through a hole in the back door and chopped the intruder on the hand.
The intruder ran away leaving a trail of blood.
Police followed the trail into Sukhan Trace, Barrackpore, but they were unable to find the suspect.
All hospitals—including the Princes Town District Health Facility, the San Fernando General Hospital and surrounding health centres—have been put on alert to be on the lookout for the suspect.
