Former Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Mariano Browne is suggesting that the economic outlook for the country is bleak.
He made the comment while speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 FM on Monday morning.
The former Senator explained that with the current circumstances as they are, the country appears to be heading in the same direction as other Caribbean islands such as Barbados and Jamaica.
He suggested that the IMF may be the best option unless the Government is prepared to make some serious changes.
With the budget on the horizon, Browne advised against raising taxes but noted that it is a possibility.
Browne was recently appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business.
