Autopsies are expected to be done on two brothers on Monday after they both reportedly drowned in Valencia over the weekend.
Thirteen year old Paul Soogrim and seven-year old Jason Soogrim went to a pool at a quarrying site in Valencia with their 45-year old neighbour.
The neighbour has since claimed that the children ran ahead of him and he lost sight of them.
He said when he arrived at the site, he noticed that the brothers were in difficulty in the water. He jumped in and tried to save them but he too experienced some problems in the water.
He got out and went to seek help but he was too late. When he got back the children lay motionless.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and removed the bodies to the Sangre Grande mortuary.
