Left handed batsman Darren Bravo and leg-spinner Imran Khan have been named the opposing captains in the Soca Kings sponsored Senior North/South Cricket Classic.
The match which will be used to select the Red Force Team for the upcoming CWI Regional 4-Day Tournament will be played from January 12 to 15 at the National Cricket Centre Ground in Balmain, Couva.
At the official launch of the fixture on Thursday, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board said Soca Kings will contribute $100,000 to ensure the continuity of the rich legacy of the traditional match which once enjoys First Class status.
Mr Bassarath said the teams comprised the best available players who will be vying for national selection and their performances will give an indication of how well the Red Force will progress in the inter-territorial competition.
