Body of man found in drain in Arouca

Arouca Police are trying to identify the body of a man found in a drain on Friday afternoon.

The body was discovered by a passerby near the Palms Hotel on the Eastern Main Road, Arouca around 2:30pm.

It appeared to be in an advanced state of decomposition and police suspect that the body may be that of a homeless man who slept in the drain.

Police are continuing investigations.
