The body of hiker Qadir Shah has been found.
According to several reports Shah’s body was found this afternoon just after 4pm.
His body was seen by hunters overlooking the ocean – The Coast Guard was called in but due to the size of the vessel they later sought help from fishermen in the area who were able to retrieved his body and brought it ashore.
Shah was first sighted close to the Turtle Rock area, where he got into difficulties where he was last seen and later drowned.
IzzSo Media reached out to a friend of Shah, via Facebook who said on the day of the incident, “all the hikers were not in the water; three of the men who were on a boat, jumped in to try to save him but it was an impossible task given the strong currents and rough waters.“
”One hiker remained in the water on a float because he was too weak to swim back in. He was out there for 45 mins.”
