Police are tracing the registration of a vehicle, which was found burnt in the Ste Madeleine area on Wednesday morning with the body of a man inside.
Around 7 a.m., fire and police officers responded to a call of a burnt Kia Sorento in a gravel track off M1 Tasker Road.
Upon arrival, they found the man’s body with his hands bound with duct tape.
Leading investigations at the scene were Senior Supt of the Southern Police Division Yusuff Gaffar, ASP Persad and Sgt Ramlogan, as well as investigators of Homicide Region III.
