Big stars set to miss 2022 Qatar World Cup as injury list grows

The list of players expected to miss out on the 2022 Qatar World Cup through injury continues to grow after Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell injured his hamstring during last night’s win over Dinamo Zagreb.

His injury adds to England’s fullback problem with Reece James a sure miss while Kyle Walker is also uncertain to be fit in time.

France set to be without Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kante, Boubacar Kamara and possibly Raphael Varane.

Brazil will miss Richarlison and Arthur Melo; Paulo Dybala and Angel Di Maria face a race against time to get fit for Argentina’s squad.

Other stars to miss out include Tottenham’s Heung Min Son, Liverpool and Portugal forward Diogo Jota, Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, Swedish striker Alexander Isak.

Germany’s Manuel Neuer is questionable after undergoing treatment for skin cancer and Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku is also a possible miss.
