Belmont man denied bail for stealing 6 cars in South

Four Toyota Aqua vehicles, one Nissan AD Wagon and one Nissan B-14 Sentra, are the six stolen vehicles that landed a Belmont man before the courts yesterday.

Hakim Kerr, 25, of Upper Belle Road, Senior Street, Belmont, appeared before Magistrate Armina Deonarinesingh at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court yesterday, after he was charged with six counts of Larceny Motor Vehicle. The accused pleaded not guilty to all six charges and was denied bail.

Police reports indicate that two of the vehicles were stolen in Cocoyea, one in Pleasantville, while the others were stolen at Cipero Road, Hobson Street and Claire Street in San Fernando, between 11th April 2022 and 26th May, 2022.

The accused is scheduled to reappear in court on 6th March, 2023.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is reminding the public to go to the TTPS Facebook page to learn about protecting yourself and your vehicle, during the Carnival Season and beyond.
