NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has made clear that allies are “ready to do more” to provide military equipment and support to Ukraine.
But Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that help was needed in days not weeks if it was to avoid coming too late.
Articulating the severity of the situation, Minister Kuleba compared the unfolding fighting in the Donbas region to the Second World War.
He said this would “not be a local operation” based on current observations of Russia’s preparations. Adding that Russia has its plan, so does Ukraine – “and the outcome of this battle will be decided on the battlefield,”
