Barbadians say they had no other choice but to vote Mottley back in

Barbadian citizens claim they had no other choice in selecting the Barbados Labour Party as they believe that given the current COVID-19 pandemic they are safer with Mia Mottley.

IzzSo Media spoke with a citizen in Barbados who said that they “need someone who has foresight and is able to analyze global trends”

She said “I think she has shown that under trying circumstances her party is committed to the task of development and that they put the needs of people first even though the people may not always see the benefit in the immediate.”

Mottley called the snap election in December 2021, saying it would help promote unity as the government battled the coronavirus pandemic, which has heavily affected the tourism-focused economy.

The BLP won all 30 seats in the national legislature.

Prime Minister Mia Mottley said her government will build 10,000 new homes over the next five years and pre-engineered steel frame homes will be an integral part of that undertaking.
