Bar and Resturant owners looking for ease of restrictions today

Bar and Restaurant owners and operators are hoping for a relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions will be paying close attention to today’s news conference to be hosted by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm today.

They were disappointed that at the PM’s last press conference restrictions on their operations in terms of in-house dining and consumption were not eased. The current restrictions are that no beverages or food is to be consumed on the establishment’s premises and there can be no more than ten patrons in the bar at any time. Bars are allowed to open at noon and have to close by 10 p.m.

Dr. Rowley said last time that the numbers were still of concern and caution was the approach being taken.

Cinema operators are also looking with great anticipation regarding their sector. They collectively choose not to option the ability to host patrons two weeks ago in the absence of being able to serve food and drinks in movie houses.

The Prime Minister will address the country this afternoon at 2:00. Izzso will keep you updated.
