A bandit was killed during an exchange of gunfire with police, following a robbery in Felicity this morning.
Around 2:15am, officers responding to a robbery report at the Charlieville Service station, encountered an armed man there.
The suspect reportedly fired several shots at the officers, who returned fire.
The man then fled across the highway, but was intercepted by officers on patrol.
An exchange of gunfire allegedly ensued, ending in the death of the suspect.
Police say one loaded pistol was found in the possession of the deceased.
