A business official and resident of the Bamboo Community says some of the workers affected by the recent fires in the district have been transferred to other branches.
Reports say a blaze destroyed nine businesses in Bamboo Number Two.
The entrepreneur who wished not to be named said there are about eighty workers who have been impacted by the development.
The business official said those whose establishments were destroyed have been told they will get a report from the fire service in the next three weeks.
The entrepreneur also expressed concern with respect to the significant raise in cost to bring containers into the country and the implications this will have on operations in the foreign used car dealers industry.
