The flooding in Bamboo Village is being attributed to the errant ways of a village resident.
Imam Haseeb Aziz made the claim while speaking with Works Minister Rohan Sinanan and ODPM CEO Rodney Smart yesterday.
Imam Aziz alleged that the unnamed resident has laid claim to the Government lands surrounding a nearby river and altered the height of the riverbank to gain access to the lands.
Meanwhile, Minister Sinanan called on persons to refrain from interfering with the geological structure of rivers.
The Works Minister said that the Ministry will now seek redress and take the necessary action to deal with the situation.
