Police in Barrackpore are continuing investigations into the death of a 74-year-old man.
Nagessar Maraj, 74, of Kanhai Road, Barrackpore was last seen alive on November 10.
His body was discovered by a friend on Saturday, who went to visit Maraj having not seen him for some days.
The body was found in a decomposed state.
Due to its condition, investigators could not definitively rule out foul play.
An autopsy has been ordered to confirm the cause of death of the pensioner.
