Austin ‘SuperBlue’ Lyons awarded the Hummingbird Medal Gold

Her Excellency, Paula-Mae Weekes awarded five calypsonians for the 2021 national awards which were presented on Wednesday by President’s House, St Ann’s.

Austin “SuperBlue” Lyons, Franz ‘De Lamo’, Allan ‘Brother Mudada’ Fortune, Morel ‘King Luta’ Peters, Lambkin and Johnson ‘Johnny King’ King, were awarded for music and culture.

Austin Lyons was awarded the Hummingbird Medal Gold.

The other four were awarded the Hummingbird Medal Silver.

After a two year delay, the National Awards 2020 came off last evening (Monday March 7) at The President’s House. 36 National Awards were presented:
