Attorney says COP does not know his place

Attorney Fareed Ali says Police Commissioner Gary Griffith does not know his place.

He made the comment following what he described as Commissioner Griffith’s recent slice at Senior Magistrate Aiden Stroude. Stroude chastised a police officer who came to court without the necessary documents to aid the magistrate in making a decision on bail for an alleged offender. Mr Ali insisted that the police officer was in the wrong in this case and suggested that Commissioner Griffith is out of place for commenting on the matter.

He added that if Commissioner Griffith is displeased with the status quo, there are ways to bring about change.

Mr Ali accused the TTPS of underperforming and said Commissioner Griffith is attempting to distract from this.
