AstraZeneca donation from Canada to be rolled out by MoH on Monday

Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh has advised that the rollout of the 82,000-plus doses of AstraZeneca vaccines received from Canada will begin on Monday, August 9th.

Minister Deyalsingh made the confirmation during today’s media briefing.

He said that 31,330 doses will expire at the end of August, and 50,700 will expire at the end of October.

The AstraZeneca doses have been allocated as follows:

4,000 Tobago
3,000 Paddock
3,000 NAPA
5,000 UTT, Chaguanas
4,000 National Racquet Centre, Tacarigua
2,000 Sangre Grande Civic Centre
5,000 Diwali Nagar
5,000 Ato Boldon
10,000 SAPA
2,000 Mayaro Health Centre

Those with appointments will be given a priority.
To make an appointment, citizens are invited to call 800-VACC or viist online at www.ttvaccine.com to make an appointment.

The minister also revealed that Sinopharm vaccines (both first and second doses) will continue to be administered at all public health centres and the two drive in sites.
