Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert says, from feedback he has received, technical challenges arising from the newly upgraded ASCYUDA System at the nation’s ports have been resolved.
Recently, members of the business community voiced concerns that delays at the port could result in consumers facing increased cost for goods.
In the Senate this afternoon, Minister Imbert was asked by Opposition Senator, Wade Mark, how the situation was being addressed.
Minister Imbert said with respect to concern about additional cost this will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
