Arrive Alive Reveals 22% Reduction In RTA And Fatalities, Expresses Gratitude To Essential Workers

Arrive Alive is once again recognizing the work of first responders, police, fire and road safety officers for their continued service.

Arrive Alive’s President, Sharon Inglefield, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all essential workers for continuing to look after citizens.

The NGO held its 8th Annual Road Safety Awards Ceremony recently.

In 2021, there was a 22% reduction in both fatal road traffic accidents and road fatalities.

So far this year there have been fifteen deaths on the nation’s roads.

Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations, Joanne Archie, attributes this to enforcement, monitoring and response by police officers, adding these areas are being continuously refined.

She urged police officers to uphold the law, to restore a sense of level-headedness and discipline on the nation’s roads.
