Homicide investigators are looking into the murder of a 27-year-old Arouca man last night.
Around 7:25pm, police received a report of gunshots at Windy Hill, Arouca, and sent a party of officers to the scene.
However no one was immediately found.
But, on searching an abandoned lot at around 8.12 pm, police found the body of Akeem Mitchell with several gunshot wounds.
A district medical officer was called in who declared Mitchell dead at the scene.
