For an additional three months, the trial run will continue where Aripo Livestock Limited will use a newly specially formulated feed from the National Flour Mills to enhance cow’s milk production.
In 2022 Aripo Livestock Limited contacted NFM requesting technical support to improve its diary cow’s condition and milk production.
NFM began the process and the feed was purchased by Aripo Livestock Limited.
Trials then began on June 1st 2022 and Aripo Livestock Limited committed to provide the results to the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries.
This trial run is currently on-going where the effects on animal health and productivity, quality and composition of the feed are monitored and recorded.
Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Avinash Singh, revealed the information has he answered a question from Opposition Senator , Wade Mark, in the Senate Tuesday.
