Police are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old Arima man during a home invasion this morning.
The victim has been identified as Jose Mariano Acosta Bella.
Reports are that Bella was at his Temple Street, Arima, home with other relatives when around 3am, a group of men broke into the house.
Two of the men were wearing camouflage clothing and were armed with firearms.
The men announced a holdup and took cash and cellphones from the victims.
However, when they got to Bella, a confrontation took place and Bella was shot and killed.
He was hit multiple times to the chest and died at the scene.
