Arima man hospitalised after he was shot and his home set on fire

Investigators are looking into the arson and attempted murder of an Arima man.

Around 3 am on Saturday, Larry Small of Darwill Gardens, Arima was taken to the Arima Health Facility by a neighbour after the 32-year-old man was shot in the right side of his chest and left upper abdomen.

Police later found out the man’s galvanised shack had been burnt down.
The fire was reported about half an hour before the man was taken to hospital.

Small is now warded in critical condition at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
