Argentina Records 12,145 COVID-19 Infections And 430 New Deaths

Today 12,145 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. With these registries, there are 1,195,276 positives in the country, of which 1,009,278 are recovered patients and 153,946 are active confirmed cases.

In the last 24 hours, 430 new deaths were reported, 250 men and 178 women. At the moment the number of deceased people is 32,052. One person, a resident of the province of Buenos Aires, was reclassified. Two people notified as deceased, residents of the province of Buenos Aires, do not register sex data.

Notification and uploading of data to the National Health Surveillance System (SNVS) regarding the number of infected and deceased persons is the responsibility of each of the jurisdictions.

In the last 24 hours, 30,999 tests were carried out and 3,078,312 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out since the beginning of the outbreak, which is equivalent to 67,838 samples per million inhabitants.

Regarding new cases by province, Buenos Aires was the one that registered the most with 3,651 (557,575 in total), followed by 1,764 (111,075) and Córdoba with 1,339 (88,290). The rest of the provinces: City of Buenos Aires 460 new cases (148,344 in total); Catamarca 31 (1,011); Chaco 131 (14,395); Chubut 421 (15,212); Corrientes 26 (2,619); Entre Ríos 258 (16,684); Formosa 0 (158); Jujuy 22 (17,940); La Pampa 84 (3,564); La Rioja 42 (7,682); Mendoza 515 (48,308); Missions 16 (298); Neuquen 934 (23,678); Río Negro 395 (24,807); Jump 110 (19,059); San Juan 164 (2,893); St. Louis 247 (7,856); Santa Cruz 250 (10,065); Santiago del Estero 82 (10,174); Tierra del Fuego 266 (11,974); and Tucumán 973 (51,615).
