Archbishop speaks at funeral service for Queen Elizabeth II

The state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch whose rule spanned seven decades, is taking place in London. Read the Order of Service.

The Queen died on September 8 at the age of 96, prompting an outpouring of grief across the UK and around the world.

King Charles III, the late monarch’s son and heir, will be joined by the rest of the royal family and leaders from across the world for the service.

Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, is delivering the sermon, following a rendition of the hymn, The Lord’s My Shepherd.
