Anti-Gang legislation headed back to Parliament

Izzsomedia has been reliably informed that the Anti-Gang legislation will be going back to parliament through the Senate.
Our News Room understands the legislation should be reintroduced today.
In November last year the Opposition did not back the government’s bid to extend the life of the anti-gang bill during deliberation at the committee stage.

The Bail (Amendment) Acts and the Anti-Gang Act was first introduced by the UNC in 2011. Government has been seeking to extend the life of the legislation to prevent persons accused of serious crimes, namely firearm-related offences, from accessing bail for 120 days.
