Anita Haynes says Gov’t be fair to tertiary education sector

The Government needs to be clear on just what is the economic situation in Trinidad and Tobago instead if confusing the population, while education pays the price.

The comment comes from Tabaquite MP and Shadow Education Minister Anita Haynes.

She said she sat in Parliament and listened to the positive economic outlook portrayed by the Government coming off of the CNN interview with the Minister of Energy Stuart Young.

However at Post Cab yesterday the Finance Minister seemed to paint a different picture.

She told the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital this morning that it wasn’t about more efficient spending in tertiary education.

She said she takes issue with the fact that budgetary cuts always take place in the tertiary education sector.
