The Airports Authority has stated that more airport personnel will be on the lookout for breaches of COVID-19 regulations as persons travel between Trinidad and Tobago.
At a Parliamentary Joint Select Committee on Wednesday, government minister Ayanna Webster-Roy said she noticed persons not adhering to social distancing and mask wearing around the facilities.
Airports Authority General Manager Hayden Newton acknowledged the situation and assured that their response will be beefed up.
Newton said there would be an increase in terms of customer service staff and also security staff. He said they will be going among the crowds to make sure that social distancing is taking place.
He said they have been monitoring it through CCTV and they recognise that they have to make some adjustments.
