Support will be provided to citizens who are affected by the Giant African Snails across the country.
The recent increase in rainfall is cited as a factor which will contribute to the spread of the snails.
An education campaign, procuring of baits and a task force made of persons from the public and private sector has been reintroduced as part of several measures to address the development.
This commitment is given by Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Avinash Singh.
