AG supports Constitutional Reform, calls for Opposition help

Constitution reform is being described by Attorney General, Faris Al Rawi, as a very good discussion for Trinidad and Tobago.
The AG gave the response as he answered a question posed to him by a reporter at Monday’s news briefing on the appointment of a commissioner of police.
The reporter asked the AG whether it was time to bring about some sort of constitutional reform to finally ensure once Trinidad and Tobago has a commissioner of police there is no way that it can be continuously tweaked.
In response, the AG said there will always be the position of somebody having to go through the process of getting a substantive Commissioner of Police.
The AG questioned what would stand as constitutional reform and what is capable of being passed and cited the need for the Opposition to work with the government on this subject.
