An adverse weather alert-Yellow Level, has been issued for Trinidad.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service, in an update, said the alert was issued from 3:30 am to 4pm Sunday.
The Met Office said: “There is the high (70%) chance of moderate to heavy rainfall that can lead to localized ponding and street flooding. Winds can become gusty in excess of 55km/hr near heavy downpours and can displace loose outdoor objects and unsecured roofs. Landslides/landslips are also likely in areas so prone.”
The public is urged to secure loose items outdoors and monitor weather conditions and updates from official sources via www.metoffice.gov.tt and www.odpm.gov.tt.
