Adverse Weather alert – Yellow level

The passage of a Tropical wave will likely result in periodic rainfall, with the medium to high chance ( 60 – 70%) of thunderstorm activity. The threat of gusty winds, street flooding and isolated flash flooding will be present during these periods.

A Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert will be active from 11am tomorrow, Tuesday June 22 to 5pm on Wednesday June 23.

According to the Met Office, persons can expect a mixture of wet/dry weather is expected for the 15-day period 21st June to 5th July 2021.

Wet days with rainfall amounts 10.0 mm or greater are expected mainly on the 22nd, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 1st and 2nd, particularly in north-eastern, eastern, south-eastern, and southern parts of Trinidad and over most areas of Tobago.
However, relatively wet days with rainfall amounts of 7.0 mm or less are expected mainly on the 21st, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
