Acting Police Commissioner Jacob Promotes Seven Officers

“Look within and make the change” said Acting Commissioner of Police Mc Donald Jacob, at a brief promotion ceremony, held at the Police Administration Building, Port- of-Spain.

Six officers were promoted to the rank of Sergeant and one to the rank of Inspector at today’s ceremony.

The Acting Commissioner of Police said the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is making all efforts to promote its officers as this serves a motivitation for officers within this institution.

This is the 10th promotion ceremony that the Acting Commissioner of Police has presided over, with 312 officers promoted so far, demonstrating the CoP and Executive members of TTPS are committed to the strategic priority of developing effective leaders.

Mr Jacob took the opportunity to remind the officers of four significant themes, which will serve them well; which is to be reminded  they play a pivotal role as law enforcers, maintain your supervisory powers, continue to learn, and keep up to date with the law.

Acting Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ishmael Pitt, gave congratulatory remarks on behalf of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Social and Welfare Association.

He encouraged the officers to serve with P.R.I.D.E. as he reminded them that the role they perform is critical to the welfare of officers.
