An early morning accident claimed the life of one man this morning, when he was thrown from his vehicle after impact. The accident happened along the southbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway near Claxton Bay.
Reports are that an SUV crashed into a Nissan Almera. Fire officials had to use special equipment to cut the driver of the Almera and other passengers free. They were rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital where they are warded in a critical condition.
Police are continuing investigations.
