Political Leader of the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) David Abdullah said that the budget should focus on employment, especially for young persons. He said young people like everyone else have the right to earn a sufficient income.
Abdullah added that the cost of living is too high. He said that persons are unable to purchase items since many in the work force have not received an increase in their salaries in years.
Abdullah also noted that issues such as crime, education, and particularly health care need to be addressed although he does not believe any of it will be tackled. He said he felt ashamed to see the many citizens who received health care services from the US Navy Ship that visited the country earlier this month.
