8 more people succumb to Covid-19

Eight additional people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
According to the Ministry of Health, the victims were three elderly males, two elderly females, two middle-aged females and one teenaged female, all with co-morbidities. This brings the total number of fatalities to 1,530.
As for the country’s immunisation statistics, the details are as follows:
Partial vaccination
Total persons vaccinated with first of a two-dose regime: 590,360 (2,322 more than yesterday’s figure)
Completed Vaccination
Total persons vaccinated with second of a two-dose regime: 508,351 (5,166 more than yesterday’s figure)
Total persons vaccinated under a single dose regime: 22,810 (775 more than yesterday’s figure)
Total persons with a completed vaccination regime: 531,161 (5,941 more than yesterday’s figure)
At both public and private facilities, 358,485 people have been tested for the contagion.
Today, 266 individuals were confirmed to have the virus marking a cumulative 52,079.
Besides, 26 persons have been discharged from public health facilities while there have been 147 recovered community cases.
The MoH said 46,266 patients have been rehabilitated to date.
Meanwhile, there are 4,283 current cases, 262 people are hospitalised, 53 are in step-down facilities, 129 are in state quarantine and 3,702 are in self-isolation.
