Police are investigating the assault of a 60-year-old man from Morne Diablo.
According to reports, around 9:45pm on Wednesday the man was sleeping in his living room when he awoke to someone assaulting him. The suspect chopped the man about his face, head and lip before he escaped. The victim called out to neighbours who took him to the Hospital to treat his injuries. The man is currently warded in a critical condition. In addition to the stab wounds, he also suffered a fractured arm.
The victim did not see his assailant nor the weapon that was used in the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
