Six new positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported, bringing the total number of active cases in the country to 351 patients.
In the Ministry of Health’s latest update, the new statistic marks a further reduction in the number of active cases nationally, as the figure for yesterday (Saturday) stood at 355 patients.
It should be noted however that these 6 new cases are from samples taken between Thursday 31 December 2020 and Saturday 2 January 2021.
In its update for today, Sunday 3 January 2021, the Ministry also notes:
● 24 persons are still hospitalised for COVID-19; down from 25 patients on Saturday.
● 255 persons are in home self-isolation; down from 260 patients on Saturday. 17 of these patients are in the care of the prison system.
● 209 persons are in State quarantine facilities; down from 219 patients on Saturday.
● 66 patients are still recovering in step/down facilities; no change from Saturday.
