6 men arrested for possession of ammunition seized in Laventille

Six persons were arrested for possession of ammunition when officers attached to the Port of Spain Division Task Force conducted an exercise between the hours of 4 am and 8 am today, Tuesday 9th February, 2021.
During the exercise, the officers went to a house at Dan Kelly Trace, Picton, Laventille where nine rounds of 12-gauge ammunition were found in the bedroom of the house.
The officers seized the ammunition and the six occupants of the house were arrested.
This exercise was a directive of the Commissioner of Police and was co-ordinated by W/ACP Beverly Rodriguez, spearheaded by Snr. Supt Terrence Nobbee, Supt Ramnarine, ASP Cumberbatch, supervised by Insp Knott, Sgt Alexander, Cpls Modeste, Thomas and Mohammed.
