$4M in Govt fees for attorney

Attorney General, Reginald Armour, tells the Senate, Fyard Hosein, Senior Counsel, earned $4,306,500 in legal fees paid by the State.

This is for the period June 19, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

The AG made the disclosure as he responded to a question on the Order Paper posed by Opposition Senator, Wade Mark, on Tuesday.

Mr Armour said the legal matters done by Hosein included landmark public law cases, complex matters and many cases were still before the courts and were sub judice.
