A 42 year old man from Plymouth, Tobago has been detained by police on suspicion of raping a British tourist at around 1:30 in the Courland Bay area yesterday.
Reports indicate that the two has been socializing the previous night (Wednesday) when they had drinks. The alleged rape and assault tool place early Thursday morning. The woman is on vacation and is reported to be a retired engineer from Warwickshire in the United Kingdom. She reported the incident to police. WPC Carrington is continuing investigations.
