Thirteen spent shells were found at the scene of the murder of a 41-year-old man in Maloney yesterday afternoon.
The deceased, Vinood Hamid of Sanderling Boulevard, Maloney, was reportedly sitting on a chair in his garage around 5:30 pm, when he was confronted by an armed man.
Several explosions were heard, after which Hamid was found on the ground bleeding from gunshot wounds.
He was taken to the Arima Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:05pm.
Police are trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
