4-year-old boy among two shot and wounded in Petit Valley

A 4-year-old boy and his relative were shot and wounded in Petit Valley on Saturday morning.

The incident took place at Store Drive in Petit Valley during an altercation between men.

Around 7:30 am an ongoing dispute between two neighbours escalated when the elderly of the two drew a firearm and opened fire on Tyrell Goodridge, hitting the victim in the leg.

During the shooting, a 4-year-old boy, identified as Nicholas Goodridge, was also shot in the palm of his hand.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect was arrested and the firearm used in the shooting was later found and seized by police.

Investigations are continuing into the incident.
