4 men charged with possession of prohibited items in Maximum Security Prison

Four men have been charged by officers of the Western Division Gang and Intelligence Unit, following another coordinated intelligence-driven exercise conducted at the Maximum Security Prison (MSP) in Arouca, last week.

Ceronne Gordon, Hayden Defo, Nekeiva Glasgow and Kenniatah Glasgow, were jointly charged on Sunday 29th September, 2024, with Possession of Prohibited Articles namely four Samsung cellular phones, five improvised weapons, one cigarette lighter, one cell phone charger, two pairs of headphones and a quantity of cannabis, Without the Lawful Authorisation of the Commissioner of Prisons.

The accused were arrested during an operation sanctioned by Deputy Commissioner of Police, ‘Intelligence and Investigations’, Suzette Martin and was carried out between 10 pm, on September 26th, 2024 and 2 am on September 27th, 2024.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service remains resolute in its mission to eradicate gang violence and criminal activities, both within and outside the prison system, to ensure public safety.

Snr. Supt. Henry spearheaded the operation, in collaboration with Snr. Supt. Pierre, North Central Division (NCD), and coordinated by ASP Lynch, Insp. Grant, and Sgt. Jeanville.

Members of the Western Division Gang and Intelligence Unit (WDGIU) led the exercise, with critical support from the TT Prison Service and the Northern Crime Division’s CSI Unit.
