34 Venezuelans caught entering illegally are now being repatriated

On Monday, 34 Venezuelans were caught in the Cedros area.

By the end of this week, all 34 should be repatriated.

The group of Venezuelan immigrants—comprising 19 men, 11 women and four children— were intercepted around 4:40pm on Monday, 12th October, on-board a 25-foot fishing pirogue by patrolling officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard.

They were taken into custody and processed and are now detained at the Cedros Coast Guard base.

The TTPS is reminding citizens to continue to report information on any illicit activities and suspected illegal immigrants via the police 555 hotline.
