Police arrested three suspected gang members during a roving exercise conducted in Maloney on Sunday 11th April, 2021.
During the exercise, which was conducted between 5am and 9 pm yesterday, three suspected gang members, aged 18, 23 and 28, were was arrested on enquiries for wounding, shooting and arson. The 23-year-old suspect also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Several abandoned apartments in buildings along with the surrounding areas, were searched, however, nothing illegal was found.
The exercise was co-ordinated by ACP Belfour, Snr Supt Renzey Ramdeen, spearheaded by Insp Highly and supervised by Ag/Cpl Ali, and included a party of officers from the Maloney CID.
Investigations are continuing.
