3 Rio Claro girls missing

Three schoolgirls have gone missing and the police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding them.

Kareena Babal, Kashmeera Babal, and Akeila Maniram went missing on Tuesday.

They left their grandmother’s home at De Melliec Street, Rio Claro, at 5.45 pm and never returned home.

Urging citizens to help in the search, member of Parliament for the area Rushton Paray said: “Today, the Babal and Maniram families of Rio Claro are gripped with worry and apprehension as they await news regarding the whereabouts of their daughters.

It is my earnest hope that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is mobilizing all available resources and employing every possible avenue to locate and ensure the safe return of Kareena, Kashmeera, and Akeila to the loving embrace of their parents.

In times like these, our community of Rio Claro must unite in solidarity and vigilance, extending support to the families affected and aiding the authorities in their efforts to bring these young girls home safely.”

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Kareena Babal, Kashmeera Babal, and Akeila Maniram is urged to contact the TTPS immediately or The Hunters Search & Rescue Team headed by Captain Vallance Rambarat at 799-1453.
