3 new Covid cases while 9 remain in ICU

Three additional persons have tested positive for COVID -19.

According to the Ministry of Health, the new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the County Medical Officers of Health (CMOHs).

The Ministry then provided the clinical update as of the morning of Monday, October 5:

Number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the UWI and other local sites for testing for COVID-19- 32,354

Number of unique patient tests completed- 29,249

Number of repeated tests- 3,105

Number of samples which have tested positive at public and private facilities in Trinidad and Tobago- 4,766

Total number of active cases- 1,801

Number of deaths- 81

Number of persons discharged from public health facilities- 1,097

Number of recovered community cases- 1,787

 

There are 100 Covid-19 patients in the hospital:

Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility- 66 (5 ICU and 9 HDU)

Caura Hospital- 21

Arima General Hospital- 4 (ICU)

St Ann’s Hospital- 3

Scarborough Regional Hospital at the Fort- 5

Scarborough General Hospital, Signal Hill- 1

 

There are 11 COVID-19 Positive Patients in Step-down / Transition Facilities:

UWI, Debe- 8

Tobago- 3
